Created by a Greek couple over 25yrs ago, on Wellington's south coast, Elysian Foods still holds true to many of the recipes our customers love. We've also developed a couple of new, award-winning, dips which combines authentic Greek flavours, with a little Kiwi ingenuity to suite a range of diverse tastebuds.
Our green and kalamata pitted olives are sourced from Greece; they're large, fleshy and juicy! We marinade them in small batches in either our Lemon & Oregano, or Chilli blends. Divine warmed as starters, or added to salads in summer or slow cooked meat dishes in winter, hand-marinated olives are a must have.
Our range of dips provides something for everyone - from gluten free to vegan, we use quality ingredients, and prefer to use locally sourced products whenever we can (Martinborough olive oil, Canterbury yoghurt, cucumbers from around NZ, NZ onions, lemons and Canterbury canola oil and breadcrumbs from Tip Top to name a few).
Our divine dips include Tzatziki (yoghurt and cucumber), Taramasalata (salted cod's roe), Elaiasalata (light blended green olives), Chilli Elaiasalata (light blended green olives with spice!) and Truffle Taramasalata (salted cod's roe with the perfect amount of NZ truffle infused olive oil).
