Renowned New Zealand cook, caterer and author of ‘Plated’, Tina Duncan will be sharing her recipes for fish tagine, lamb yoghurt pie and cheats ice cream sponge terrine.
Tina Duncan is well known throughout Canterbury and New Zealand for her innovative and contemporary cuisine having catered for thousands of brides and corporate events as owner of award-winning White Tie Catering from 1999-2013, and since then as Creative Consultant.
She is also owner of a boutique cooking school and has empowered thousands of home cooks to entertain – both locally and as a guest cook at various cooking schools, hotels and events around New Zealand.
She was a founder of Savour New Zealand, held biennially from 2001-2005. Ahead of its time, the event brought international celebrity chefs (including Anthony Bourdain, Rick Stein and Antonio Carluccio) and foodies to Christchurch in the pursuit of learning, and celebration, of all things food. She was also the Food Editor of Simply You Living magazine, and has deep connections with the food writing community in New Zealand.
Her lifelong love affair with food has finally culminated in her cookbook Plated – a collection of some of the most delicious plates from Tina’s sixty years of cooking. She shares how to prepare, cook and present your food for maximum effect and minimal stress, ensuring you spend less time in the kitchen and more time at the table with guests.
